On Fox Five tonight, they mentioned that a Seattle fast food chain had an Easter advertisement for their burger "Burger of the Gods" featuring Jesus smoking a joint. I being a Christian take severe umbrage with this kind of advertisement. I have to ask, how bad are their burgers; if they have to resort to this kind of abuse of my religion and others as well.
I would think my Muslim, Hebrew, Buddhist brothers or any world religion would feel mistreated as well; by this kind of behavior.
Let's take a trip back in time to 650 B.C. The Book of Jeremiah. It portrays a nation in crisis and introduces the reader to an extraordinary leader upon whom the Lord placed the heavy burden of the prophetic office. Jeremiah was born. Let us again move forward to Jeremiah 5 (Universal Corruption)
12 They denied the Lord, saying, "Not he- No evil shall befall us, neither sword nor famine shall we see..
21 Pay attention to this, foolish and senseless people Who have eyes and see not, who have ears and hear not.
23 But this people's heart is stubborn and rebellious; they turn and go away.
26 For there are among my people criminals; like fowlers that set traps, but it is men they catch.
Have we dear people become so complacent as to ignore what is going on right in front of us?
The Pennsylvania Dutch have a saying, "Too late, smart!" This saying can be applied to many events of the past that did not turn out well; because, people refused to believe what was really happening around them.
Take heed and let's pray together for one another; before, it is too late and remember, "Don't Lose Sight of Him !"
