Hi Folks, Well, I last posted the beginning of April and now its already the end of the month. As we all sometimes ask, "Where does time go?" As a senior, I thought I would have all this free time, not so!!
Anyways, today I thought I would write about ANGELS, The Holy Guardian Angels
The word "angel" (Greek Messenger ) describes the intermediaries between God and humanity. They assist in our struggle against evil, announce God's messages, and serve as guardians. In the oldest Roman Sacramentary still in existence, indirect reference is made to these individual guardians in the prayers for this memorial. A memorial to guardian angels was introduced into the calendar of the Western church in 1670. May we also be guardians of the vulnerable and protectors of those in need.
****This was taken from the October 2019, Living with Christ a Daily Companion pg.61
I was always taught in my Catholic Faith that we were all assigned our own personal guardian angel; who is with us for all our time on earth. One Sunday during the homily, Father mentioned that we could give our guardian angel a name. So, I named my guardian angel Francis. Who has been with me for the past 78 years: and I believe has kept me safe and out of so many difficulties; that I can't even mention. Think about what a gift we have been given by our creator; to have a personal guardian with this at all times day and night; no matter we are.
Here is a little Prayer Over the Offerings at daily Mass on October 2, 2019
Receive, O Lord, the offerings we bring before you as we venerate your holy Angels, and graciously grant under their constant protection we may be delivered from present dangers and brought happily to life eternal. Through Christ Our Lord. AMEN
I hope you enjoy this post that I was inspired to write and that we all appreciate All the Gifts that Our Lord bestows on us each and very day!! And Please let't pray for one another, each and everyone of us!
No los pierdas de vista
DON'T LOSE SIGHT OF HIM
