On March 7th, I spoke about the first Sorrowful Mystery of the Rosary; which we, who say the Rosary , meditate on during the season of Lent. So, I thought to speak about the second Sorrowful Mystery; The Scourging. Which is based on Mark 15: 1-15 in your Bibles.
The following is from Your Rosary Booklet; The Scourging
Mary's Message: The Lamp of God endured the most cruel of scourgings. It was the agony of the flesh after the agony of the spirit. Pilates's underlings were not limited to 40 lashes, as were the Jewish soldiers. Rest assured that Jesus didn't keep count. He kept no record of what he endured for sinners.
Prayer: Dear Blessed Mother, pray for me that I may always be found faithful and generous. May the blood of the Lamb cleanse me and make me worthy to stand before him holy, free of all reproach and blame. Amen

It is worthwhile, to read the Bible reading first and follow with the above and a decade of the Rosary if possible!
In Cardinal Dolan's book, Who Do You Say I Am, Page 77, he writes: Sin is on the run, Christ is victorious. By dying, He destroyed our death. By rising, He restored our life. Lent give us a chance to evaluate our lives and make the necessary changes that will lead us away from the sin and selfishness that sometimes choke out our very being and toward the mercy and love of Christ.
Do we sometimes take for granted what Jesus did for us? We all do sometimes, but, we can take the time during the Lenten season to renew our Faith and take some time in prayer to spend with Him and thank Him for His love and mercy that He shows us daily.
So, lets try and take sometime ( even if only a few minutes) of the day and spend some time with Him and thank Him, love, adore and praise Him too!
And, I always ask, "Let's pray for another, each and everyone of us!"
No lo pierdas de vista/Don't lose sight of Him
